When He Was on the Cross, You Were on His Mind FROM THE EDITOR A s Jesus hung on the cross, battered and bruised, it wasn’t just the pain of the nails or the weight of His body that He carried , it was the weight of the world’s sins, including yours and mine. Every heartbeat, every labored breath was fueled by love, a love so personal that even in His agony, He thought of you. You were not an afterthought in His sacrifice. Before you ever took your first breath, He knew you. He saw your struggles, your failures, your moments of doubt and still, He chose to endure the cross. His mind was filled with the faces of those He came to save, each one precious and worth the price. John 3:16 reminds us that God so loved the world that He gave His only Son. But make no mistake you were individually loved, known, and cherished at Calvary. Today, when doubts arise, remember: on that hill, through every drop of blood and every tear, Jesus thought of you. You are the reason He stayed. GOD’S PURPOSE, YOUR COMPASS THROUGH STORMS Pastor Priscillah Lekaukau “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” – Romans 8:28 (NKJV) W hen life’s storms rage and the path ahead seems uncertain, it is easy to lose direction. But for the believer, trials are not random detours—they are part of the divine journey. God-ordained purpose becomes our compass, guiding us with unwavering certainty when emotions, circumstances, and opinions attempt to mislead. Purpose gives pain meaning. Joseph endured betrayal, false accusations, and imprisonment, yet never lost sight of God’s hand on his life. In the end, he could boldly declare, “God sent me ahead of you… to save lives” (Genesis 45:5). His trials were not roadblocks—they were stepping stones Your purpose is not canceled by adversity; it is often clarified in it. When you align your heart with God’s call, you’ll find strength to endure, courage to press on, and peace that surpasses understanding. Whatever you are facing, let God’s purpose anchor you. Hold fast to His promise. What He began in you, He will complete. Let His purpose be your compass—always pointing you back to hope, back to trust, and back to Him. Focus About the Author: Priscilla Lekaukau is a faith preacher, author, and ministry leader. She heads Pentecost House of Prayer Network and serves as an administrator for Global University in Botswana. Passionate about revival and purpose, she is pursuing a Master’s in Organizational Psychology.

Constructive feedback is also a critical element in our personal development. For spiritual growth, we pray together, engage in spiritual discussions even casually, share Christ-centered reels with each other, and, most importantly, respect each other’s differing paces and approaches to spiritual development. Advice for Married Couples or Those Desiring Marriage First, prioritize healthy communication. Second, exercise empathy and forgiveness. Third, regularly express appreciation and affection. Words like “I’m proud of you” and “I love you,” said randomly yet consistently, make a huge difference. Lastly, support each other’s individual goals while maintaining a strong, shared vision as a family. For those intending to marry, address any pre-existing issues or concerns honestly — if not, they will resurface in marriage. Ensure you are both on the same page regarding major life decisions such as children, boundaries, finances, and career choices. Premarital (and post-marital) counseling is very important; prioritize it to build a strong foundation.
Advice for Couples Seeking to Serve Together in Ministry Without thinking twice, start by defining roles and responsibilities clearly to avoid conflict. Second, share a common vision and understand each other’s spiritual gifts. Lastly, seek mentorship from experienced couples who are also serving together in ministry. Above all, prioritize your marriage relationship over ministry responsibilities. A broken home cannot build a healthy church.
Choosing Purity When Temptation Knocks Rev. S. Phatudi I gave my life to Christ at the tender age of 12 and instantly developed a deep love for the Lord, never missing a church service. That love remains strong today as I serve as a pastor with the Assemblies of God in Botswana at 46 years old. Walking in purity has been a lifelong commitment. As a teenager, it was challenging, especially being attractive and gaining attention from older men with wealth and influence. Many tried to lure me into ungodly relationships, but by the grace of God, I remained steadfast. I learned early, through counseling during Teen Sundays, the importance of keeping myself pure (1 Thessalonians 6:11) and living a life anchored in prayer and closeness with God. After completing my Cambridge studies, I lived independently, relying solely on God and never being tempted to marry for security or material possessions. I was committed to pursuing sexual purity, standing on promises like Isaiah 40:31 — those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. Understanding Purity The Bible teaches much about purity. Matthew 5:8 says, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” Purity is not just about avoiding sexual immorality; it’s about honoring God with our bodies, souls, and spirits (1 Thessalonians 4:3-7; 1 Corinthians 6:18-20). Purity is not a checklist of do’s and don’ts, like deciding whether a book is appropriate to read or if clothing is too revealing. It is about glorifying God with every personal choice and living in a way that enhances His reputation through our lives. Keys That Sustained My Walk in Purity Prayer and Fasting: At 14, I learned to fast, starting with three-day dry fasts every month for three years. Although I didn’t fully understand it at the time, I was faithful to the church program. As I matured spiritually, I continued with longer fasts — 7 days, 10 days, even 21 days — practices that I maintain today. Fasting helped me crucify worldly desires and drew me closer to God. Serving in Church: Being active in church ministry, especially in praise, worship, and intercession, motivated me to live a clean life. I deeply respected the altar and never wanted to defile it, understanding the responsibility that comes with ministering before God. Studying and Meditating on the Word of God: God’s Word has been a crucial part of my spiritual journey. Hebrews 4:12 teaches that the Word is living, active, and sharp — discerning even our inner thoughts and intentions. Continually meditating on Scripture has shaped my character, strengthened my faith, and helped me pursue a Christlike life. Conclusion Purity is not just about external actions; it’s about making choices that glorify God. It requires intentional living, focused on prayer, fasting, serving in His house, and immersing oneself in His Word. True purity enhances God’s reputation through our lives, reflecting His holiness in everything we do.
Who do you think I am? Before time I laid out the universe like a picnic blanket and called it good. I laid out a billion stars on it like finger foods. I am the voice constellations cling to and galaxies sing to, I am Him Who Sweeps over waters deep Creeps over shallows and shadows, They hallow. They arrow. My name. My fame. My game. My aim. My shot. Flight. Descent. Score. Blood on the floor. Allow me to introduce the original hardcore. I am the heart’s core. Without Me nothing is, will be or was ever before. I AM GOD. Perhaps the better question is Who do you think you are? You were dust when I formed you. A consciousness without a host. I built you up like Legos. Breathed you up like mentos. My heart was your ethos. I gave you a purpose. To be just like Me. To rule and reign, just like Me. To take and dominate, just like Me Until I found you listening to your flesh. You build makeshift thrones, gather up treasures in makeshift homes. You are far from known and far from home. Son of my own, do you actually think you’re just like Me. So who do you think you are? You were a scarlet curse when I redeemed you. I crowned you and clothed you and put a ring on your finger. I loved you to my death and called you names you hadn’t heard before. Righteous Favoured Saved Forgiven Until I found you listening to the world and eating from the hand of evil. You gathered gods unknown and idols untold. You suffered alone. Son of my own. You have a home. Some place you are known. Where you can be just like Me.
FAITH THAT STANDS THE STORM Min. Pearl Mark 4:39-40 (NIV) “He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, ‘Quiet! Be still!’ Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. He said to his disciples, ‘Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?’” Faith is not just a concept we hold onto in peaceful moments — it’s the anchor we grip when the winds howl, when the storms rage, and when the promises of God seem distant or delayed. This May, Kingdom Connection Magazine explores the theme Faith That Stands the Storm, drawing us into the reality that unwavering trust in God is what holds us steady in life’s fiercest seasons. Scripture is filled with men and women who stood firm in faith, even when everything around them was falling apart. Think of Noah, who built an ark with no sign of rain, trusting God’s instruction above popular opinion. Think of Abraham, who waited decades for the child God promised and still believed, even when he was asked to sacrifice that very son. Think of Joseph, whose dreams seemed crushed by betrayal, false accusation, and imprisonment yet his faith carried him to the palace. These stories aren’t just biblical history; they are real reminders that faith doesn’t always look like immediate results. Sometimes it looks like waiting, like worshipping in the dark, like standing still when it feels easier to run. One of the greatest examples of faith under pressure is Job. In a season where he lost everything children, health, and wealth Job declared in Job 13:15, “Though He slay me, yet will I hope in Him.” That is the posture of someone anchored in trust, someone whose faith is not based on circumstances but on the character of a faithful God. And let’s not forget Mary, the mother of Jesus a young woman chosen for a divine assignment that brought public scrutiny, discomfort, and heartbreak. Yet she responded, “Let it be to me according to your word.” (Luke 1:38) In today’s world, it’s easy to lose faith when delays come or when prayers feel unanswered. But God’s promises are not tied to our timelines. He is not slow; He is strategic. His delays are never denials they are divine appointments, meant to grow us, stretch us, and build something solid in our souls. Hebrews 10:23 urges us: “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful.” This is your reminder: God is still faithful. He sees the storm. He knows the battle. And His promises are still YES and AMEN. God’s Power in the Middle of Chaos - He speaks and chaos obeys: Jesus calmed the storm with just a word, reminding us that His voice has authority over every storm in our lives (Mark 4:39). - Nothing surprises God: What feels like a sudden storm to us is fully known to God. His sovereignty assures us that He is always in control, even when things seem out of control (Psalm 46:1-3). - His presence brings peace: Even before the storm was stilled, Jesus was in the boat. His presence alone is a promise of peace and protection (Isaiah 43:2). The Challenge to Trust Even When It’s Hard - Faith is tested in the storm: It’s easy to believe when things are calm. Real faith is shown when we choose to trust even when the winds rage (James 1:2-4). - Fear fights faith: Like the disciples, we often react in fear instead of faith. But Jesus challenges us to overcome fear by remembering who is with us (2 Timothy 1:7). - Trust is built through experience: The more we go through with God, the more we learn to trust Him. Every storm becomes a classroom for faith (Romans 5:3-5). So in this issue, we encourage you to reflect, pray, and be refreshed in your faith. Let your heart be reminded that the God who carried Noah, Abraham, Joseph, Job, and Mary — is the same God who walks with you. Faith that stands the storm is faith that knows who’s in the boat. Hold on. You’re not alone.
