SAFReC is a Christian-based organisation born from a vision of God to be part of the solution to reach out into deteriorating communities within South Africa. This organisation was established in August 2018 as a non-profit company and has been active in local communities since 2019. SAFReC's Community Chaplains are volunteers with a calling from the LORD to become pillars in their community, being beacons of light, and nurturing hope in an unrelenting dark world. SAFReC undertakes to establish Community Chaplains through specialised training and aim to provide spiritual and emotional refuge, protection and shelter for the vulnerable. Our goals are to network with like-minded organisations within South Africa and to expand our reach and network, nationally and internationally. Finances For the past 15 years, I have been serving as a full-time pastor, alongside Reverend James, at our ministry, Lily of the Valley Ministries. A role transitioned into after being a counsellor since 2003. Before dedicating myself fully to ministry, I worked in the financial sector, starting at the Department of Treasury where I studied Finances. I then spent a decade as an auditor at SARS. Currently, I serve as Director Finances for SAFReC, where I oversee the financial management and a “Jack Of All Trades.” Being a versatile and skilled individual, I ensure that SAFReC operates effectively and efficiently. In my capacity as Director Finances, I apply the skills and knowledge I gained from my years in finance and auditing to ensure the organisation’s resources are managed effectively and according to the Word of God. Love cannot remain by itself— it has no meaning. Love has to be put into action and that action is SAFReC However, my true passion lies in pastoral care and spiritual leadership. It is this blend of expertise and commitment that defines who I am today and drives me in both my professional and ministerial roles. Sanet Warren

SAFReC’s 5th Anniversary Celebration was themed "The Best of the Roses." During this event, the Board of Directors honoured all the chaplains for their sacrificial dedication to serve the LORD beyond the norm, surpassing their own comfort and limitations, and going the extra mile to be a beacon of hope for others. The Board of Directors saluted SAFReC as being the "Best of the Roses."
