Dedication
We dedicate this book to the following persons in our life who inspired, shaped and motivated us to continue in our ASF journey. First, to the Lord, our God, who gave us his strength and wisdom throughout our ASF journey. To our families and friends, for their eternal love and support. To Teacher Nanan, who inspired us to be strong despite the obstacles in life and to always aim for the best. And to ourselves, for completing the Arrupe Social Formation 1101.
LPP journey
ODALLOC .P ARCELIE EEHCIN ONILOREF .R OHCEREJ NIUQAOJ Our ASF Journey as LPPs was filled with many memorable experiences. Come see what we have to say about it...
“My ASF journey with my LPP was filled with memories that I can surely say I will cherish. Those days when we first met and talked with each other gave us the time to truly know each other and ourselves even better. I can still remember the feelings we felt during our journey as ASF students. These moments made me realize that we did indeed need an LPP in our lives. Wax helped me during our ASF journey, even though he might not have known it, and I'm grateful to our charming Teacher Nanan for having the idea of an LPP as a support system, buddy for everything, and friend.” Joaquin says... “The ASF Journey as an LPP was rife with worthwhile experiences, lessons, and little but significant moments. It was such a joy to be a part of an important form of social formation through making meaningful memories. However, truly, the most important part of this journey was the opporunity to play a role in getting to know my LPP. Through Nichee, I was able to get a glimpse of a life filled with lived experiences that helped me form a better idea of what it means to be a companion. Just like Teacher Nanan said, ‘Sa ASF, may karamay ka,’ I will forever be grateful for the companionship I received.”
Chapter 3 of Faith
“Love is shown more in deeds than in words.” St. Ignatius of Loyola was the first pillar of faith that we encountered. And now as a fully formed Ateneo Sui Generis Leader for Mindanao, his cannonball experience resonates with our leadership journey and in leading and serving the people of Mindanao. His journey also helped us reflect on discovering our purpose in serving the Mindanao community. As what the quote says above, Love can be shown in doing things for our community, and for Mindanao.
