Also: Christopher Hazelwood (Brochure Artwork) Jackson McConnell (Website) Emtone Print (Brochure Print) I’m delighted to invite you to join our artists as we celebrate the 30th year of Marlborough Open Studios. What started as a small art trail around Marlborough, guided by a single sheet of paper, has grown and developed since 1995 to include artists living and working across a wide area of North Wiltshire. In marking this anniversary, a special mention must go to Arran Miles and Susan Kirkman, who have taken part every year since we started. The Open Studios arts trail takes place over the first four weekends in July and gives you the opportunity to discover workshops, studios and galleries where you can meet with artists and see them in their creative environment. You are invited to come and visit any number of the 45 open studios free of charge with no obligation to purchase. You will, I hope, enjoy meeting the artists and talking to them about their work, inspiration and techniques. Also look out for the special events being run by our artists; with opportunities to try different artistic techniques or attend preview shows. If you find visiting at weekends difficult, several of our artists are also open during the week. If you would like to see more of our artist’s work then please visit our website at www. marlboroughopenstudios.co.uk or follow us on Facebook or Instagram (#marlboroughopenstudios) where you will see regular postings both from and about our artists. I would like to thank everyone who has helped to plan and organise this year’s Open Studios trail. In particular the volunteer committee who work hard on behalf of our artists to bring Open Studios to you. I would also like to thank our professional partners as well as our sponsors for their generous support and draw your attention to their pages within this brochure. We hope you enjoy using this brochure to plan your Open Studios trip this year and look forward to meeting you. Paul Oakley, Chairman Visit our website Please take the time to check out our bespoke and highly informative website at www.marlboroughopenstudios.co.uk. You can find more about each of the artists, with plenty of visual representations of their work. The map on our website will show you where artists are exhibiting, making it easier for you to plan your day out. Sign up for our regular Newsletter - email: newsletter@marlboroughopenstudios.co.uk.

Soft pastels remain her favourite medium for the feeling they are an extension of her fingers, accompanying her to Clifton Suspension Bridge as a wild card for LAOTY and winning her an award at this year’s 126th Pastel Society annual exhibition. My project ‘Bits of Devizes’ was created by taking many photos of Devizes town centre, the architecture is amazing. Combining parts of different photos I'm then able to create in Photoshop a building that is recognisable but doesn’t exist. My images are assembled in a way that the viewer engages with them and then maybe make up their own story about them.
