Rishi Sunak Becomes British Prime Minister
Britain welcomes its first Asian-origin Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, who also becomes the first Indian-origin British Premier. Sunak, a former chancellor of the exchequer, made a high-stakes gamble in the leadership contest and will be the youngest person to hold the office in over 200 years. His parents, of Indian descent, came to the UK from East Africa, and he will also be the first Hindu to become British Prime Minister, securing the position on the auspicious day of Diwali.

Cyclone Sitrang: IMD Issues Red Alert for Four North-East States
